About Me:
I'm a writer covering politics, policy, media, and assorted other topics of interest. In March, 2015 I began working at VICE as the writer for the documentary series VICE on HBO.
My magazine writing appears regularly in New York Magazine, Rolling Stone, The New Republic, GQ, Marie Claire, and elsewhere. You can use the links up top to see my latest work or browse by publication.
In a prior but not-so-distant life I worked in politics—on the Hill, on campaigns both regional and national, and in the White House, as an Assistant Press Secretary during the early years of the Obama administration.
Originally from Baltimore, I now live in Brooklyn, New York.
